Before deciding to join the New Life, Dr. Ghani was to have made a provision of Rs.35,000 for his family (with his wife's land as collateral). To include him in the New Life, Baba had promised him the full amount. So, to keep his promise, 350 of his disciples were sent a request letter from Ramjoo, asking for Rs.100 from each on behalf of Ghani. Baba dictated a letter to accompany the request, part of which was as follows:
